National Public School Yeshwanthpur celebrated AAGAMAN2016-the Annual Cultural Extravaganza on 8 December 2016 and 9 December 2016 bringing out the creative and histrionic talents of the students from Classes 1-4 and 5-12, respectively.
Mr Sanjay Sahay, IPS,Aditional Director general of Police, Grievances and Human Rights, Bangalore was the Chief Guest on 8 December2016. Mr NS Megharikh , Commissioner of Police, Bangalore gracedas the Chief Guest on 9 December 2016. The Principal, Ms Alka Gupta welcomed the parents and apprised all with the events and achievements that had unfolded in the current academic year.
The cultural odyssey began with the invocation song and the welcome song AAGAMAN to mark the arrival of spirited talent. The mellifluous confluence of beats reverberated and was applauded by the audience. Thereafter the students displayed a variety of dance forms ranging from folk, classical, western, hip hop, yoga to ballads. The larger than life props and costumes added to the fine details making it an endearing show highlighting the artistic spurts of the students. Day one ended on a high note with the programme culminating with Dashavatram, signifying the importance of goodness of character to prevail. The finale on day two brought out the skilled dancing prowess of the students as they paid an ode to the King of Pop through their nimble feet.
The second day also saw the felicitation of the meritorious achievers of the academic year 2015-16 for their overall academic excellence.
The Chief Guest Mr NS Megharikh exhorted all the students to engrave honesty as the hallmark of their characters as they achieve milestones in their career. Mr Sahay reiterated the role of parents in being facilitators in the life of the students.
