National Public School, Yeshwanthpur, hosted ‘DELTA’, the inter-school science competition, witnessing a great confluence of curious minds on Friday, 04 September 2020. This competition was held on the virtual platform showcasing the convergence of innovative minds from schools in and around Bangalore and stood testimony to the scientific temperament in students.
17 contestants participated in the ‘Preliminary round’ which comprised of two stages, the ‘Situation Round’ and the ‘MIND TENTACLES ONLINE QUIZ’. Ten finalists were shortlisted for the final event, ‘Symposium’.
In the ‘Symposium’, the participants presented their topics on ‘Multiverse and string Theory’, ‘Using CRISPR Technology for Gene-Editing to make humans immune to diseases’, etc. The participants fielded the volley of questions from the judges with panache.
DEBANJAN RUJ of Delhi Public School Bangalore South was adjudged as the Winner and ANKITA DASGUPTA of National Public School, Yelahanka was the Runner-Up.
The Symposium also witnessed commendable presentations by in-house participants Manya Lohan, S V Venkata Sai Vishweshvar, and S Meena kumari of National Public School, Yeshwanthpur
The judgement panel comprised of Mr Nitish Satyanarayan, a Biotech entrepreneur and Mr Suraj Rajasekhar– lecturer of Physics, an experienced coder and a Cryptology enthusiast.
